BEST care I’ve ever received at an emergency vet clinic. The tech and vets were amazing. They were so caring and knowledgeable. They kept my dog for 24 hours and anytime I needed an update they welcomed me calling no matter the time. I highly recommend using them for your pet emergencies. They truly care!! Thanks to them, my dog is home and healing!
I had to learn this the hard way as my female dog came down with pyometra an infection of the uterus because I did not have her spayed...My dog walked into their clinic and that was the last time she walked...After the surgery she was paralyzed from the waste down with out any control of her bowel movements or any bladder control. I was told she had a stroke, then I was told she had a blood clot in her spine during surgery and that was why she could not walk...I do not believe that to have ever been the case ...I cared for her for the last month helping her go the bathroom and bathing her every single day.... I was told several times by( Dr p) who did the operation that she would walk again...She ended up chewing her right foot almost completely off over night and I knew that I could no longer care for her....I called (Dr p) and asked if she would put my down and she refused to euthanize my dog because of her chewing on her foot...I believe she did not want to take ownership that she had done something wrong in surgery which ended up costing me$1,768 dollars...I had to have her put down today which was by far one of the hardest things I've ever had to do as I felt that I had failed her....If you love your dog I would highly recommend not taking your dog to this place......We as the public just assume that all veterinarians know what they are doing but I do not believe that (Dr p) knows how to operate on a pet....My dog has been like a family member for last 10 years of her life....They do not communicate with you about your pet as I had to call every day after I got off work after the surgery which took 3 days in their care for the recovery.....My hope is nobody has to go through what I had to and learn the hard way...
Don't go here. Don't take your cat, dog, exotic, or any animal. Giving my guinea pig an antibiotic that she shouldn't be taking, mistook her nipple for a damn wound, and didn't inform me to give her a pro-biotic after giving her an antibiotic. Neosporin is toxic to guinea pigs, and guess what the doctor told me to apply to my guineas "wound"?
So now I'm having to rush to improve my cavy's health so she doesn't DIE because this "doctor" supposedly knew what she was talking about.
(Always get your dog spayed or neutered)
We have nothing but good things to say about Dr P and staff. Every time we have taken an animal to her office we have gone immediately to a room. Dr P will tell you like it is without sugar coating it and we love that about her! Don't let the negative reviews convince you not to take your pet there, most of them sound like they are just mad she didn't tell them what they wanted to hear.
During the visit I left with more questions than answers!!! I was treated like I didn't know about or care for my guinea at all! If you love your fur-babies, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE FOR ANYTHING.
This is the worst vet ive ever been to. The overweight vet refused to take a military ID then refused to treat my dog. I have never seen such disrespect for veterans in my life. But don't worry Dr. Neal in Bethany saved my dog and saved me about $150.
